UCL's Centre for Artificial Intelligence and the GDI Hub presents #WeThe15 in AI on 2nd December 2021

In celebration of the UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities, UCL's Centre for Artificial Intelligence and the Global Disability Innovation Hub are proud to present #WeThe15 in Artificial Intelligence, an online event to discuss the power of AI in transforming the lives of people with disabilities. The webinar will feature a keynote speech by Prof. Cathy Holloway, Academic Director GDI Hub as well as presentations and panels covering a range of subjects from AI technology supporting the disabled community to lived experiences of those at UCL as part of the 15% of the global population who live with a disability.

Cathy Holloway is Professor of Interaction Design and Innovation at UCL’s Interaction Centre and the Academic Director and co-founder of the Global Disability Innovation Hub (GDI Hub). GDI Hub exists to accelerate disability innovation for a fairer world and Cathy’s research revolves around supporting this aim. GDI Hub is part of a partnership which has grown out of the Paralympic Legacy and crosses traditional discipline boundaries to pool expertise to tackle the issues faced by society in realising the Sustainable Development Goals.
