New PhD Student: Tigmanshu Bhatnagar

Tigmanshu Bhatnagar joined the Hub for his PhD in Design, Disability and Assistive Technology. He is a Product Designer with a Bachelor of Design from IIT Guwahati with a minor in Mechanical Engineering, India and a M.Sc. with cum laude from Delft University of Technology, Netherlands. He has worked as a Visiting Researcher in the field of Soft Robotics at EPFL, Switzerland. Before coming for his PhD at UCL, Tigmanshu was a Guest Faculty at the Department of Design at IIT Delhi, India, teaching Prototyping, Manufacturing, Product Design and mentoring Master projects. He has been involved in multiple assistive technological innovations and research projects in partnership with disability organisations and healthcare centres such as AIIMS, ICRC, Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, IIT Madras & IIT Delhi.
