Alice Benton
Research Assistant
I have an engineering background; I completed my undergraduate at The University of Leeds in Medical Engineering.
I will soon be finishing my PhD, which I have completed at Imperial College in the Musculoskeletal Mechanics group, as part of the Centre for Doctoral Training in Prosthetics and Orthotics.
My PhD project broadly focuses on the biomechanics of individuals with lower-limb amputations, with a particular emphasis on muscle recruitment, functional outcomes and the use of musculoskeletal modelling methods to support rehabilitation research. My work has combined both computational and experimental approaches.
