Co-founder and Director of Inclusive Design, Iain originally trained as a product design engineer and has worked on inclusive design of the built environment since 2005. Iain's work now primarily focuses on creating inclusive and resilient cities in low and middle income countries around the world.
Iain brings considerable experience working on inclusive design as both a consultant and client. He led on inclusive design for the development of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park as part of the London 2012 Paralympic Legacy programme, producing the Inclusive Design Standards and facilitating the Built Environment Access Panel. His ambition is to influence designers and decision makers through research, teaching/training and delivering good practice to show that only by having disabled people at the heart of the process can we create inclusive solutions that benefit everyone. Iain also teaches a module on Inclusive Design and Environments on our UCL awarded MSc 'Disability, Design and Innovation.'
