Jitesh Joshi
PhD
Jitesh is a PhD student at the Global Disability Innovation Hub and the UCL Interaction Centre supported by the Overseas Research Scholarship and the Graduate Research Scholarship. In the past 10 years, he has worked both in industry and at research institutes, developing algorithms and systems for healthcare applications.
Jitesh specialises in machine learning, image processing and system engineering. Prior to joining UCLIC, he worked at Tata Elxsi as a Specialist in the Medical Business Unit where he was responsible for leading AI practice and R&D initiatives. He completed MSc in “Cognitive Systems and Interactive Media” at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona in 2011.
At UCLIC, Jitesh’s research focuses on developing novel and low-cost solutions and algorithms for contactless physiological monitoring and intervention to improve disability interaction
